It’s a widely known fact that roof replacement projects can be a challenging, but fulfilling task. However, one aspect that many homeowners can’t often get their head around is the warranty coverage. Here’s a guide to assist you with picking a GAF warranty.
One important thing to note about all GAF products, such as shingles and accessories, is that they come with strong coverage provided by the GAF Shingle & Accessory Limited Warranty. In case you run into issues with your GAF products that stem from manufacturing errors, then this warranty will cover you.
You’re automatically qualified for the GAF Roofing System Limited Warranty if you choose to install a GAF residential roofing system. This residential roofing system includes the GAF Lifetime shingles as well as three applicable accessories. This further strengthens the GAF Shingle & Accessory Limited Warranty since it adds a lifetime warranty on your qualifying accessory items.
If the issues you encounter aren’t related to manufacturing defects, then GAF products will not be covered by this warranty. Some examples of these include forgetting to install a proper ventilation system in your attic, resulting in premature deterioration of your home’s components.
